Good Food, Great Beer!!!
I went to the BBC last night and had a great time. My favorite beer there (I frequent for obvious reasons) Frambozen, has a hint of raspberry flavor but not so much it overwhelms the taste of the quality brew! I decided to split a "Build Your Own Pizza" with my friend. We went with a BBQ style pizza this time around. It came out piping hot, in my opinion, the only way to eat pizza. The crust was perfect, not burnt on the bottom at all. I've noticed this to be a problem at other restaurants who do not specialize in pizza. I will have to say, however, maybe they should specialize in pizza because it was the best slice I've had in some time!
The service was spectacular. We sat at the bar(after all it is a brewpub) and had great service from our bartender Kylee. She was outgoing and made sure we had what we needed from start to finish. They were pretty busy but that didn't stop the manager, Tyler, from stopping around the bar to make sure his guests were having a good experience.
I know they just received a not so great review from the courier journal, but that critic must be on cold medicine or some other form of medication.- I have always had good service at both locations and it is by far the best bar food you can get in Louisville.
